IBPS PO Mains is an entrance exam that IBPS conducts to select candidates for various posts in the banking sector. The IBPS has released the new IBPS PO mains syllabus. While this is a significant change in the official syllabus, candidates who have cleared the preliminary exam are eligible to appear for this one.
The main examination will consist of 4 papers – Reasoning & Computer Aptitude, English Language, Data Analysis & Interpretation, and General/Economy/Banking Awareness. The total marks allotted in the main exam are 200 points.
The main examination will consist of four papers, and it will be a multiple-choice test with questions from different areas. The duration of this paper is 3 hours so that you can answer all questions correctly.

The main exam will be conducted in three phases, and candidates must attempt at least 45 questions in each section. The minimum qualifying score is 35/45 for each team, while an aggregate score of 80/100 is considered qualified.
IBPS PO Syllabus
The applicants must be proficient with the curriculum to develop a successful approach for the IBPS PO syllabus 2022. Preliminary IBPS PO Exam
The initial phase of the IBPS PO 2022 is the IBPS PO Prelims. This stage is screening.
There will be three portions in the IBPS PO Prelims Stage, each lasting an hour.
There will be 100 multiple-choice questions in total. Candidates must achieve the minimum cut-off scores in each of the three examinations, which IBPS will determine. IBPS will determine the necessary number of applicants in each category based on the requirements before shortlisting candidates for the main online exam.
IBPS PO Mains
Candidates would be eligible to take the IBPS PO Mains Exam if they meet the minimum cut-off score. The following sections of the IBPS PO Mains Exam curriculum are listed below:
general reasoning and computer aptitude, economics, and banking awareness
Data analysis and interpretation in the English language.
The IBPS Mains Examination includes a Descriptive Paper in which candidates’ writing abilities are evaluated, as in the SBI PO Examination. Each candidate must prepare an essay and a letter worth 25 points in 30 minutes.

- Computer applications will not have their paper. There are 45 questions in this subject, combining reasoning with computer aptitude, for 60 points.
- 0.25 marks will be deducted for incorrect answers in the Objective Tests.
Final Selection
The candidate’s ultimate selection for the position of probationary officer will be based on their overall performance in the main exam and throughout the interview process. After the IBPS PO Exam Interview Process is completed, a merit list will be created. The joining letter will therefore be made available to candidates who make a list by the Bank of their choosing.
